Summary
WordleSolver is a free, browser-based set of word tools. You do not create an account, and the clues, rack letters, and filters you type into the tools are processed on your device and are not sent to us or stored on a server we control.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard server request data, and we show ads through Google AdSense. Google and other advertising partners may set cookies or similar technologies in your browser. You can control or opt out of personalised advertising using the links in the advertising section below.
Who we are
“WordleSolver”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the independent operator of the website at wordlesolver.online. For any privacy question, or to make a data request, contact salmanb0022@gmail.com. WordleSolver is not affiliated with The New York Times, Wordle, Hasbro, Zynga, or any other game publisher.
What we do not collect
- No accounts. There is no sign-up, login, profile, or password on this site.
- No puzzle data. The letters, tile colours, wildcards, and filters you enter into the Wordle solver, word finder, and word-list explorer are handled by JavaScript running in your browser. They are not transmitted to a solver server and are not logged.
- No marketing contact list. We do not run newsletters and do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
- No payment data. The site sells nothing and never asks for card details.
Information collected automatically
When any browser requests a page, our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) automatically receives technical information needed to deliver the site and to keep it secure. This typically includes your IP address, the requested URL, the referring URL, the date and time, your browser type and version, and your operating system.
This data is used only to serve content, diagnose errors, monitor performance, and detect abuse such as denial-of-service attacks. It is held for a short period by the provider and is not combined with any other information to build a profile of you. See the Vercel privacy policy for details of its processing as our hosting sub-processor.
Advertising with Google AdSense
We display advertising supplied by Google AdSense to fund the site. In connection with that advertising:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe).
For more information on how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google’s advertising cookie policies are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Analytics
We review aggregate, non-identifying traffic reporting from Google Search Console (which measures search impressions and clicks) and from privacy-focused reporting provided by our hosting platform. If we later add a general-purpose analytics product that sets cookies, this policy will be updated before it goes live and the relevant consent controls will apply.
Legal bases for processing
- Legitimate interests— keeping the site available, secure, and functional (server request logs), and showing non-personalised advertising.
- Consent— where required, for personalised advertising and any cookies that are not strictly necessary. Consent is requested through the consent notice shown to visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, and can be withdrawn at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and to delete, and the right to opt out of “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising; you can exercise the advertising opt-out using the links in the advertising section.
Because we hold almost no information that identifies you directly, we may need to ask you to exercise browser-level controls (such as the Google and aboutads.info opt-outs) for advertising requests. For anything else, email salmanb0022@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
EEA, UK and Swiss visitors
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent notice, consistent with Google’s EU user consent policy, before non-essential advertising cookies are set. You can choose non-personalised ads, and you can revisit your choice at any time through the consent link. Selecting non-personalised ads still allows advertising to fund the site, but ads are then based on general context rather than your browsing history.
Data retention
We do not maintain a database of visitors. Server request logs are retained by our hosting provider only for the limited period described in its documentation and are then deleted or aggregated. Advertising and consent data held by Google is retained according to Google’s own policies.
Children’s privacy
WordleSolver is a general-audience word-game site and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.
International transfers
Our hosting and advertising providers are global companies and may process the technical data described above on servers located in the United States and other countries. These providers rely on recognised transfer mechanisms, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable.
Third-party links
Our guides link to external sites such as official game rules and reference sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of sites we link to; review their policies when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site, our providers, or the law. Material changes are indicated by updating the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
Contact
Questions about this policy or about privacy on WordleSolver can be sent to salmanb0022@gmail.com, or through the contact page.
